A self-initiated typography-led apparel system exploring clarity, interference, and visual hierarchy through three coordinated graphics and garment applications.

SIGNAL / NOISE explores typography as the primary image. Built around the tension between clarity and interference, the project uses bold hierarchy, geometric structure, utility graphics, repetition, and controlled distortion to translate one central idea across a coordinated apparel system.
Rather than designing a single statement graphic, SIGNAL / NOISE was developed as a compact apparel system built around one visual idea. The project explores how typography alone can carry enough tension, identity, and visual interest to function as the hero image across a collection. The system is built around the contrast between clarity and interference. “SIGNAL” remains structured, stable, and highly legible, while “NOISE” becomes fragmented through interruption, repetition, and controlled distortion. That same idea is then extended across three coordinated graphics: a primary hero composition, a utility-inspired emblem, and a more expressive experimental piece. Consistent use of condensed typography, mono technical information, serial labeling, utility marks, restrained color, and garment-specific placement helps unify the collection into a single visual language. The result is a typography-driven merchandise concept that demonstrates collection thinking rather than isolated graphic execution.
